Make weekends easy and delicious, let someone else do the cooking!

Hungry?You should be! We’ve got loads of yummy things to eat at the Adelaide Hills Farmers Market this weekend!

My saving grace last weekend was the fact that on Saturday night there was no cooking and thus no dishes – thanks to Yerelina Organics take home quiche!  It could have easily fed four but that night there were no leftovers.

Soup: Wonderful home-made nutritious soup is available at Farmhouse Pantry. Frozen soup and meals can be taken home and warmed for those late night dinners. Who can resist Chilli Con Carn? There is also toasties, quiche, hot soup and muffins to eat at the market, so be sure to visit us for breakfast, brunch or lunch.

A couple of Pie’s from Bull Creek Bakery make for a great weekend meal with a fresh summer salad. I hear the lentil pies are divine, even for the carnivores.

My husband has a weak spot for authentic sausage rolls and at Greenhill Bakery we have beef, chicken, curry beef, pork, lamb, spinach and feta, and even goat. They also have chilled Adelaide Hills bottled water for those warmer sunny spring days.

Wakefield Grange Farmgate Meats are back this week with the bacon and egg combos and Moroccan sausage hotdog – breakfast or lunch this BBQ is getting great reviews.

Yummy veggies are a great way to make a meal interesting and healthy, and well as yummy. Huge range of marinated veggies to choose from to spark up any meal or if you’re entertaining why not get a platter? Great for the vegetarians and gluten free people out there!

If your want to tantalize your taste buds then try Armenian food at Ararat’s stall. On the theme of savoury treats – blinchik, chicken schalmar and meatball packs are available not to mention amazing cakes and sweets.

So next time your tummies are rumbling, stop by and grab a drink, some food and soak up the amazing market atmosphere!
