Join the AHFM community this weekend as we proudly create a banner to celebrate Peramangk Watta!
“Spirits ablaze hand in hand we acknowledge we are on Peramangk Land”
A play on this years NAIDOC Week theme “keep the fire burning” while also acknowledging that Peramangk are the fire people.
We invite everyone to come and make a paint mark with their hands on the banner as we emulate the idea of flames with the prints of our community.
Once dry, the words will be written over the top, and the banner will be displayed every weekend at market.
