The Adelaide Hills Farmers Market is more than a place to shop, it’s a community hub where local growers, producers, and neighbours come together. We create a vibrant space filled with fresh produce, live music, friendly faces, and a true sense of connection. We couldn’t do any of this without our incredible team of volunteers! By joining our volunteer team, you’ll help our market run smoothly, meet great people, and contribute to the success of our local community. Plus, you’ll have the opportunity to develop new skills, share your ideas, and be part of a warm and welcoming community.

Volunteer Roles Available

We have a variety of roles to suit different interests and skills:

• Information desk Support – Greet market-goers, provide directions, answer questions, assist with membership sign-ups and renewals, and help with money handling.
• Market Day Operations Support – Be on hand to support the Market Manager with any odd jobs that keep things running smoothly on market day. It’s a hands-on role perfect for someone who likes to stay active and be part of the action.
• Workshop Assistant – Help set up workshops, assist with managing participants (including kids’ activities), and distribute materials or handouts.
• Community Engagement Officer – Work with us to grow community participation through planning fun, low-cost engagement activities and creative outreach ideas
• Admin Support – Assist with behind-the-scenes tasks like grant applications, fundraising campaigns, and policy updates.

Requirements

• All volunteers require a working with children check (we can arrange these for you free of charge if you don’t already have them)
• Willingness to follow our Code of Conduct and contribute positively to the market environment
• A friendly, respectful, and reliable attitude
